Academic Initiative for e-Mobility – Education and Training in the University Network MOBIL4e

The objective of the Mobil4e project is to develop education and training programmes for colleges and universities in the Lower Saxony showcase region. These modular programmes are designed to provide students and engineers with a deeper insight into electromobility and to prepare them for a future with electromobility.

Demands and Objectives

According to surveys, 30,000 new jobs will be created in automotive, supply, and infrastructure industries, if Germany becomes the leading market and leading provider of electric vehicles by 2020. Sweeping changes will be necessary in academic education in order to meet the expected demand for specialists, particularly in research and development. The Mobil4e project aims at developing modular and comprehensive further training programmes on electromobility for universities and colleges and testing them at selected locations. The target groups include graduate professions and engineers.

This project is overseen by researchers of Leibniz Universität Hannover, Hochschule Hannover, Technische Universität Braunschweig, Technische Universität Clausthal, Ostfalia – University of Applied Science, and Braunschweig University of Art
